💙 If you have a cool undertone then blue is going to be a great wardrobe staple for you.

🩷 Cool people are characterised by having blue based features which could include; cool pink skin tone, navy blue black skin tone, ashy hair tones and a blue or grey eye.

🩶 I wear the predominantly lighter shades of blue all year round and as they tend to never go in or out of fashion you will always find them when you are shopping.

💜 Choose your best denim blues and blue then becomes a neutral for you to add other colours to, it's an extremely versatile colour.

🧡 If you have warm undertones you can still do a denim blue, but make sure what you put with it on the top half is more golden based.

A little late to the trend, but I couldn't resist a look back to 2016. Feels like forever ago but no time at all.

In 2016 I was just at the start of my styling journey, still very much in mum mode with 2 girls not yet in school and just about getting through the days on not enough sleep.

Overwhelmingly what was most interesting is that there are hardly any photos of me, millions of the girls of course. The tables have definitely turned in the last few years 😅

My style has definitely evolved in the last decade, but the colours and styles that suit me are still the same, I continue to evolve and tweak to reflect my lifestyle and trends.

This time of year can be difficult; it's cold, it's dark and we're bored of our winter wardrobes.

I struggle not to panic buy items at this time of year because I fancy something new and to give me that dopamine hit.

So over the last couple of January's I've acknowledged those feelings and have learnt how to stop myself and enjoy the wardrobe I have;

✅ Plan my outfits weekly, making sure I wear different colours and combinations
✅ Take daily outfit photos so I can objectively see what I like and what I don't, what I'm wearing and what I'm not
✅ Make sure I wear all my clothes by rotating piles and turning hangers on worn items
✅ Remind myself I have plenty of outfits and I'm better saving any spending for the new season when I have identified gaps.

❎ Don't let myself fall into a jeans and jumper rut, it makes me feel dull and want to shop
❎ Delete the continuous stream of extra sale discount emails as soon as they arrive.

✨ And that's a wrap on the Christmas holidays, back to work tomorrow and looking forward to meeting 4 new clients for their colour analysis sessions.

❤️ Because I love data I've been running the stats on 2025;
✨ Almost 200 people colour analysed
✨ Softs were my most seen type, 31% of my clients
✨ Cool dominant was next at 20%
✨ Clear and warms were in the mid teen %
✨ Least seen were my light and deep types with 10% each

💜 Pretty similar data and order from previous years so I guess this represents the demographic of my surroundings.

💙 2025 was another record breaking year for Colour with Confidence, more sessions, more corporate work and more makeup sold, the 5th year in a row I have seen a significant increase in trade, for which I am eternally grateful.

❤️ I love a bit of red, but do be careful about buying red items onine. Red really alters quite dramatically in different lights and on different screens, and as it only takes a tiny nudge too warm/cool/bright/deep for red to become overwhelming to wear, it can be hard to get right.

❤️ This cashmere jumper is the absolute perfect soft pinky red for me but in the photo here it's showing much more vibrant and deep.

❤️ Do wear red if you want to, and of course shop online for it, but be prepared to check the colour and send it back if it doesn't work with your colour swatches.

❤️ It's worth persevering to get your perfect red, it's brilliantly energetic and fun to wear.

Another fantastic day on Saturday hanging out @haineandsmith in the Wooton Bassett branch this time spreading colour joy as an essential part of choosing glasses.

I spoke to so many people about colour, analysed over 30 people (could've been nearer 40 or 50 but I lost count 😂), from 8 years up and helped so many people to choose from the huge selection of colours on offer.

As part of the 50th birthday celebrations I also got to meet with @yourvision_mypassion and try on a whole range of super colorful @woodyseyewear glasses.

Thank you to the guys from @rodenstock_official for my iris photo. I spend my life looking at the colour of people's eyes so these close up photos fascinate me.

A career highlight for me was advising the Mayor of Wooton Bassett that he needs to change his mayoral chains from gold to silver to suit his cool colouring 😅

🩵 There's a definite chill in the air this morning which has led me to dig out my winter scarves and gloves.

🩷 I always have cold hands, so my selection of cashmere hand/wrist warmers are ever present until the Spring. @loveturtledoves

🩵As it felt more autumnal today I popped on a jumper and jeans for seeing clients today.

🩵 And then it occured to me that you've probably seen me in very similar outfits before. Scroll through for a selection of same but different outfits from the past year or so.
